My first Cat Show
inally I received the entry confirmation for our first show - "My darling, you are going to be the most beautiful cat there - the most beautiful of all".
he days before the show are slightly hectic - I hurry to sew the show curtains, to clip the cat's nails and to groom my darling.
he day has arrived. I did not sleep very well while my darling rested the better. All is prepared, all is packed.
t's early morning and ice cold outside. I fetch the car from the garage and let the engine run for a while to heat the cabin. My darling should not freeze.
ll is loaded in and stowed. Did I forget anything? I have the entry confirmation, I have the vaccination papers, I have the show curtains, I have the cat food plus food and water bowls, and I have the litter pan with litter. Yes, I have everything.
he cold ices up the windshield and the streets. But I drive carefully and there is still plenty of time. Attention - highway cross X ahead, I have to watch that I don't take the wrong turn.
id I forget anything?
have the entry confirmation, I have the vaccination papers, I have the show curtains, I have the cat food plus food and water bowls, and I have the litter pan with litter. Yes, I have everything!
he morning dawns, the first silver lining shows on the horizon. The next highway cross is still a couple of miles away. Suddenly my car is passed by an idiot going at least 120 miles per hour. You might very well arrive earlier at the show, but just wait and see until we get the judge's reports - my darling is simply the most beautiful cat!
managed the next highway cross without problems, there are still 50 miles to drive.
he sun has risen and shines upon a landscape looking as if covered by icing sugar. I drive into a beautiful and also hopefully successful day - don't I my darling?...
D A R L I N G ? ? ? ? ! ! ! !
