The Ideal Markings in Mitted and Bicolor Ragdolls
 ne of the most remarkable features of the Mitted and Bicolor Ragdolls is their special markings. With the sketches below I tried to transform the Ragdoll show standard into meaningful pictures. Minimal white means: a show cat should not have less white; maximum white: a show cat should not have more white.
 lease note that standards of the various cat associations and their interpretations can differ in one respect or another. The drawings are based on the FIFe show standard and my own experience as an exhibitor.
minimal white
for a Mitted Ragdoll of show quality
- colored nose leather
- white chin with colored edges
- a white unbroken belly stripe from the bib down the underside between the forelegs to under the base of the tail
- white mittens evenly matched on front feet, extending to just over the toes; paw pads partly pink, partly colored (depending on the size and shape of the mittens)
- entirely white boots on back legs, extending to heels; pink paw pads

maximum white
for a Mitted Ragdoll of show quality
- colored nose leather
- completely white chin
- white blaze (a small broken or evenly matched small white stripe on nose and/or between the eyes)
- a wide white unbroken stripe from the bib down the underside between the forelegs to under the base of the tail (end directly at the white thighs)
- even white mittens on front feet, extending to metacarpal pad
- pink paw pads on front and hind legs

minimal white
for a Bicolor Ragdoll of show quality
- pink nose leather
- inverted symmetrical "V" in mask
- a fully colored back
- wide white stripe on underside of body from the chin down to under the base of the tail (just barely acceptable - breast and stomach of a Bicolor should be fully white)
- white on front legs, extending to elbow, small amount of point color still visible (note: a couple of show judges think this is very attractive while others prefer entirely white legs without any traces of point color)
- white on hind legs, extending to heels, a small amount of point color still visible (see note of front legs)
- pink paw pads on front and hind feet

maximum white
for a Bicolor Ragdoll of show quality
- pink nose leather
- inverted symmetrical "V" in mask, extending to outer edge of the eyes
- the back may have various markings of white and color patches
- entirely white underside
- entirely white front and hind legs
- pink paw pads on front and hind legs
