"
anta Claus" brought us a very special surprise for Christmas 2002 – Puschel and Schnurrie's (Ciara's Puschel McRag, a blue colorpoint Ragdoll girl, and her blue mitted brother Ciara's Schnurrie McRag – by the way, "Puschel" and "Schnurrie" are German equivalents for "Fluffy" and "Purrie") new family Sybille and Reto Staub from Switzerland put together a *wonderful* photo album for us, with the theme "Love is..."
very one of our kittens is unique for us, but little Puschel and Schnurrie are certainly among the "special special cats". Both had to be hand fed every 2 – 3 hours around the clock for the first few weeks because their "mom" surprisingly did not have enough milk for her kids this time. Of course this makes you even more attached to a tiny baby :-). Besides, this was our Neala's very last litter. Her kittens were always known to have an extra lovable temperament, thus I was *very* tempted for quite a while to keep at least one of the two siblings. Finally reason won – our small family of cats should never exceed a manageable size so none of our kitties has to go short someday.
lucky chance saw to it that Schnurrie and Puschel could move together into a very loving new home. If you view the pictures below (just a part of the photo album), there is no doubt what a pity it would have been to part both kittens from each other.
