ccomplishments for the Ragdoll breed: Some of our cats had the chance this summer (2001) to do a photo shoot for Eukanuba Cat Food. We were contacted by Wingedwoman Productions looking for a Ragdoll to photograph for advertisements. How they found us I am not sure but it may have been our website. We packed up our cats and our van and my husband Gary, my partner Cathy and I set out for a wonderful adventure.

| Remington at present can be found in every Eukanuba Cat food bag on the coupons for the food. Here is a sample of the coupon. |
e drove to St. Louis Missouri accompanied by Remington and Magnum our blue bicolor adult Ragdolls, and Bo Jangles our seal mitted Ragdoll and Cameo Rose our blue colorpoint female Ragdoll. We arrived at a huge beautiful private home and were greeted by the 2 women responsible for our chance to do this, Marissa and Deb. They told us they were the animal handlers for the photo shoot and also owned their own advertising agency in which Deb did the photography. The owner of the hourse was there and the representative from Eukanuba cat food was also there. There were 3 "set people" who went around adjusting lights, the food bowls, the carpet, and kind of "fluffing the scenery" so to speak for that just perfect shoot. The last person attending was the photographer and he was telling everyone where to go and what to do to make that "purrfect" shot.
or the first shots they called Remi out to eat the cat food from the bowl and he was not being compliant. He just wanted to sit pretty and then run off and investigate... I did not feed them prior this I truely promise! They took pictures of him sitting pretty then right in front of the food instead. Next they wanted Magnum our stud boy to come out and eat. He was entirely interested in eating then promptly groomed himself afterwards from head to toe. The representative from the cat food company was so excited saying that those pictures would be considered for the advertisement part for their new hairball treatment food since he was grooming himself and he had long hair. Next they called up Cameo Rose who loved the food and buried her face in the bowl the entire time! As a matter of fact when they went to bring in Bo Jangles, Cameo was back in the back room crying that she wanted more. Bo Jangles decided to just "look pretty" in front of the camera and stare at everyone with his big blue eyes.
he lady who represented Eukanuba cat food was oohhhing and aahhhhing the whole time they shot the photos. They explained to us that they had never considered a Ragdoll for an advertisement for the food because they had always leaned towards the "lean" "healthy" "svelte" look in the animal representing health and well being with their food. She was in awe of our breed of cat and fell in love immediately with the LeCapri Gang.

he next set was to take place in the foyer. Remington was the star in that shoot sitting on a beautiful bench and looking majestic and regal. That was the photo they ended up using on the billboard for the CFA International Cat Show in Texas' Eukanuba display and the coupon for the bag of catfood. They took us to lunch and we had a wonderful time with the women who got us there in the first place. We have been asked back again and we are looking forward to doing it again!
2002 Update: A while back when we were talking about Remington being on the front of the envelopes mailed out to homes for Eukanuba I was asked by a couple breeders if I knew who the Ragdolls were on the March 2003 page of the Eukanuba Calendar. I had not had the opportunity to see the calendar yet so Mary Rivera of Woodland Dolls kindly mailed me my very own calendar and when I opened to March 2003 of this big colorful calendar, I saw LeCapri Bo Jangles bigger than life! Also on this page of the calendar were a couple smaller pictures, Bo and LeCapri Cameo Rose of Meriwidoz. I could not believe it was that big! I am so proud of them all. It is fun to "share" our beautiful Ragdolls with world through things like this.

| LeCapri Bo Jangles is currently owned by a wonderful family in Decatur Illinois and spoiled by this young lady |
eCapri cattery was dreamed up in the year 2000. Myself and a friend Cathy Spaugh named the cattery LeCapri, meaning "the Playful". My children Justin, Caylin, and Bailey came to me in 1997 and told me they wanted a Ragdoll. Back then I did not know what one was but I ventured out to find as much info on them as I possibly could. At that time I decided we needed to find out more about the breed itself. I originally was looking for a pet but as time would tell I became more interested in breeding myself. I work as a labor and delivery nurse so delivering kittens would be not so far off from what I do in my job. My family was supportive and the kids were excited to finally be getting a Ragdoll cat.
any breeders helped me to find my special babies and some are our mentors at present date. One of my very special Ragdolls that came into my heart is Remington. This huge blue bicolor boy will melt your heart and he is indeed a part of our family!
