Free Ragdoll Cat Screensaver
 hanks to the wonderful and very much appreciated suggestion of one of my website visitors, I decided to offer a special Ragdoll cat screensaver on my site. However, as I did not want to put just a couple of pictures together in a slide show but to make something completely different, it took longer than actually planned. But now my self-made work is finally finished! I hope you have as much fun viewing the screensaver as I had drawing it.
 s you can see, there are two display sizes of the Ragdoll cat screensaver - Ragdolls in the three patterns (Mitted, Colorpoint and Bicolor) sitting in a balloon and floating across the starry sky - to suit the two most often used screen area resolutions. The screensaver has a musical background, though you can turn off the piano music if you wish - see the instructions below.
he screensaver is in .exe format for easiest installation. Just click on Ragdoll... .exe, and it will install to the proper directory (you will find detailed installation instructions below, just in case). I created the Ragdoll cat screensaver on my 17 inch screen. I do hope that it shows to advantage on larger or smaller screens, too. Please let me know if there is something that does not work properly or something does not look as it should. As this Ragdoll cat screensaver was my very first attempt to make a screensaver at all, I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions.
How to install the Ragdoll cat screensaver
 lick on one of the links above (screensaver either in 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixels, depending on your screen area resolution. To check your current screen area resolution, just right click anywhere on the desktop and select "Properties", then "Settings". Or another way: click on the Windows "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen, then on "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Display" - "Settings"). A dialog box should appear, asking you what you would like to do with this file. If you choose "Save to...", the screensaver file downloads to the location you have chosen. Be sure to save it where you can find it later. If you choose the option "Open" (or later open the downloaded file from your chosen location by double clicking on the file), the screensaver is installed into your computer right away.
- fter you opened the screensaver file by a double click on Ragdoll... .exe, a short automatic "Setup" is run. A message appears that the file will be installed into the folder C:\WINDOWS (should you ever want to delete the Ragdoll cat screensaver from your hard drive, you can find the file there. Right click on it to open a dialog box, and then delete it) and that it is installed as your default screensaver. You will also learn the size of the actual screensaver. Click on "OK".
- he file is installed (message: Installing... please wait) and the successful installation is shown by "Installation Complete!". Click on "OK".
- message appears, letting you know the name of the program the Ragdoll cat screensaver was created with. Click on "OK".
- he next message notifies you who created the Ragdoll cat screensaver :-). Click on "OK". The option "Enable Sound" is automatically activated, so you are able to hear the musical background of the screensaver. If you wish to turn off the music later, just click the Windows "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen, then "Settings" - "Control Panel", double click the "Display" icon - click on the "Screen Saver" tab - "Settings", and remove the check in the "Enable Sound" checkbox. Click "OK" to save.
 n the last screen you will see that the Ragdoll cat screensaver is now activated as your default screensaver. This window also allows you to adjust the time until the screensaver activates. Click on "OK". That's all, now your new Ragdoll cat screensaver should run without problems. Enjoy!
